On this day in 1910 the greatest revival in Coos County's history came to a close at the town of Marshfield. For six weeks the big tabernacle, seating 2,000 people was thronged with worshippers from all over the country. Ten hundred and thirty-five were converted, 710 of these from Marshfield. Police, doctors, bartenders and some lawyers were among the converts. A free-will offering was given to evangelist Dan Shannon who said he would return in the fall.
