Donald Dinny On This Day In Oregon

On this day in 1883 the first professional wrestling match in Oregon featured opponents in slippers, white tights and pink trunks accompanied by polite applause.

World Champion Donald Dinny was defeated by D. A. McMillan of Bodie in a seven-bout match which alternated between three styles of wrestliing: Greco-Roman, Scotch Back-Hold, and Collar and Elbow.

McMillan entered the ring calling himself, "Unknown."
