Passing down Front Street yesterday we discovered a new brick pavement in front of S. Coffin's new building. Such innovations upon the long established customs of the country (viz: enjoying the freedom of wading through mud-holes along our streets) is an outrage upon all usages. We should not wonder if some others should aspire to follow this aristocratic custom and thereby induce men to black their boots once a week."
